Tonight's SAB
Generally encouraging, focus was mainly on the academy system. Terry Westley gave a lengthy presentation on the academy set up and how from a very early stage (9 up) players are given personal development programmes.

Loans are made only when the club are satisfied it will develop them and they have targets for their stint while away in order to develop them and not just learn how to play League 1 or Championship football. Theyre also working on arranging agreements with European clubs who have good academy systems and will develop them technically. Time was obviously spent looking at Burke, Oxford, Cullen and Samuelsen.

The goal is to root the club back into the Academy system and to have 2 or 3 players from the Academy as starters when in the OS. They also want to be recognised as a top 6 academy in English football, significantly higher than now. The point was also made that youngsters now coming through on average have 10 Premier League games y the age of 24 so they will, if promising, be given the time to develop.

Other than that there was a discussion about whether to de-retire the number 6 shirt at the OS, which Noble would naturally take, and that's being tentatively put out to fans as an idea.

Discussion about a fanzone around the stadium.

Talk about expanding capacity to 60k but was relatively muted.

Aim is to be in regular competition for Champions League places within 2 years.

Also discussed ways of using the GAPS in a more useful manner, and i'll be emailing the club with ideas that have been generated on architecture forums.

Finally, we are allowed two EVENTS in pre-season rather than two matches, so was confirmed we could hold an Emirates cup style weekend competition of four clubs (two games per event rather than just two games). They claim that theyre working solely on the Noble testimonial for now and little thought has been given to pre-season. However they also did say that there's no need for a test event so the OS could hit the ground running with a mini cup style event.

What arrangements need to be made months in advance?

Re: Tonight's SAB

Maybe if you actually took in what I am saying you might stop having to repeat yourself, my view has always been the final game should have taken place on the final day so arrangements could have been made with certainty for those attending, TV coverage should have been viewed as a bonus and personally I fail to see how having it on the final weekend ever prevented that and having the weekend before guaranteed it, what I see is a situation that now looks like upsetting some fans which I think is a shame as it shouldn't have happened.

You and others probably disagree which is fine though nothing you have said really convinces why you might be right so lets agree to differ.

Why do you keep repeating the same thing?

I have fucking told you more than once. But like most things in football nothing is 100% set in stone.

if you can't see that West Ham had an excellent chance of being on TV regardless of position the week before the last game of the season and a relatively small chance the last weekend of the season then more fool you.

Re: Tonight's SAB

Exactly so if this is then all this uncertainty and inconvenience around it is totally down to the club then.

You still don't explain how TV coverage was shoe in, if it was why not just announce it months ago so plans could be made or is that because it isn't and never was simply as events have now proved, for me club were always gambling and just believed the odds were better for TV coverage that week and for me the actual match day event should have been a priority over TV scheduling.

As I have said all this makes little odds to me as whenever the last game happens I will be there regardless but as I keep repeating it others that are being inconvenienced that I totally sympathise with and should not be happening.

what the fuck are you HIGH HEELED, LIPSTICK WEARING, OVERWEIGHT TRANNIES arguing about now?

Not the last game of the season at the Boleyn? Understandable given they need to move and it puts off the small possibility that our last game could get us sent down.

Evening Game? It was pure luck of the draw.

You can go all around the houses and repeat the same thing over and over again.

The simple matter West Ham requested with Sky that the last game at the Boleyn be the penultimate game weekend was the desire of the club, sky and the Premier League to show the game live.

Norwich v Man Utd................hahahaha

Re: Tonight's SAB

You point is nonsense because when the fixtures were compiled no one knew what games on that weekend have title implications any more than would know on the final one would have, these fixtures you have listed could have easily have involved five games with direct impact on the title as much as none the following week if everything was done and dusted.

Out of interest as it stands at this precise moment the Norwich v Manchester United is a fixture I would expect to be chosen.

possibly Norwich v Man Utd

Could have implications for both Europe and relegation as well as giving Sky an excuse not to trot out the real reason that they will bring most viewers

The TV companies will have to pick their games over a month in advance for the penultimate Saturday.

Given that between BT and SKY they will show 4 games and I would think the 3 games involved in the title would be 3 of them.

Which of these would be picked over West Ham?

Norwich v Man Utd
Sunderland v Chelsea
Liverpool v Watford
Palace v Stoke
Bournemouth v WBA
Villa v Newcastle

West Ham was always going to be shoe in for TV
